Alpaca Yarn
Alpaca yarn is made from the lightweight, lustrous and silky fibers of the Alpaca fleece. It is, like sheep's wool, a natural fiber, but it is hypoallergenic (because it contains no lanolin) and is not prickly. It makes garments that are warmer than wool and is also very soft and luxurious. The physical structure of alpaca fiber is somewhat like hair, being very glossy, but it's softness and fineness produces a very satisfactory yarn. The fibers are hollow, which makes it a good insulator. Alpaca yarn is known for being very warm when warmth is needed, yet very cool and breathable.
