Chenille Yarn
Chenille yarn is the choice of many fabric designers for its beautiful appearance and softness. Chenille yarn consists of short lengths of spun yarn or filament that are held together by two ends of highly twisted fine yarn. It can be made from different types of fibers and yarns, the most common of which are cotton, rayon, acrylic and olefin. It ranges in different sizes from as heavy as Nm 0.2 to as fine as Nm 12.0. The process to manufacture chenille yarn is a complicated one, but the final product is a beautiful, soft yarn that improves the appearance and feel of handknitted sweaters and other items.
