Nylon Yarn
Nylon is a man made fiber which is, to put it simply, spun out of air, water and coal. Most novelty yarns today are made from nylon. These usually consist of one or two strands of regular yarn with something else added for an interesting texture. This extra element can be metallic thread, artificial fur, a thicker or thinner strand yarn or yarns that have other elements, such as plastic, in them.
